Meet Dr. Delaram Taghipour
A Journey Built on Curiosity and Care
Dr. Taghipour's career has been shaped by a commitment to understanding medicine from every angle.
She began her postgraduate training in General Surgery at Howard University Hospital, where she developed a strong surgical foundation and an appreciation for meticulous, hands-on patient care. Wanting to better understand how prevention, population health, and healthcare systems influence patient outcomes, she continued her training at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, completing a residency in Preventive Medicine while earning both a Master of Public Health (MPH) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
Drawn to the complexity of venous and lymphatic disorders and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' quality of life, she completed fellowship training in Venous & Lymphatic Medicine at the Center for Vein Restoration, ultimately becoming Hawaiʻi's only fellowship-trained physician in the specialty.
Each step of that journey has shaped the way she practices today: combining surgical precision, preventive medicine, public health, and specialized venous expertise to provide comprehensive, personalized care.
Before founding My Vein Doctor, Dr. Taghipour also contributed as a medical journalist, helping translate complex medical topics into information patients could understand. Her work has been featured by ABC News, including Good Morning America, 20/20, ABC News Radio, and other national media outlets. That passion for education continues to influence every patient visit. She believes informed patients make empowered decisions, and she strives to ensure every patient leaves with a clear understanding of their diagnosis, treatment options, and the path forward.
